Rental Policy
The Rental Policy applies to rental of the theatre by other entities. For the protection of the building and murals and the safety of renters, theater rental will be limited to audiences over the age of eight (8).
If a Theatre rental will displace a screening, arrangements must be made before the calendar is set. There are no exceptions to this.
A renter may make arrangements to “buy out the house” for $500.00. Arrangements must be made prior to the calendar being set and must be a film on the calendar.
The Theatre may be rented weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Board’s discretion.
A prospective renter may approach any board member. That board member then becomes the board liaison who will provide information about the event to the Board of Directors for review and approval.
After the rental is approved, the board member liaison and renter meet to complete and sign the Rental Agreement, collect the refundable cleaning deposit and 50% of the rental fee. The renter will forfeit the rental deposit if the event is canceled.
The Rental Agreement will include the date, time and duration of the event; the entity’s name; and the name and phone number or email address of the contact person. (See Rental Agreement.)
Information regarding the number of films to be shown and their format, i.e., DVD, video or 35 mm, as well as all technical information must be discussed with Head Projectionist. Renter will make arrangements with liaison regarding concession needs.
Cleaning Deposit:
• $100.00 to be paid in advance
• Refundable
• Renter must sweep, empty trash and load dishwasher
• Dishes not loaded must be hand washed prior to renter’s leaving
• Tables and chairs must be put back to their original locationsRental Fee:
• for profit use - $500.00 or $75.00/hr for three (3) hour minimum
• nonprofit or personal use - $400.00 or $75.00/hr for two (2) hour minimum
• Rental hours must be arranged prior to the eventTechnical Support Fee:

• Additional charge for use of 35 mmAlcohol:
